God decides when the Earth will end
Are you familiar with the Honorable Rep. John Shimkus? He’s the Republican congressman representing the 19th Congressional District of Illinois. Why should you care? Because he’s on the U.S. House Subcommittee on Energy and Environment, a Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee.
The Subcommittee is responsible for, among other things, national energy policy; fossil energy, renewable energy; energy conservation; energy regulation and utilization; regulation of nuclear facilities; nuclear energy and waste; the Clean Air Act; the Safe Drinking Water Act; Superfund and RCRA; Mining, oil, gas, and coal combustion wastes; and noise pollution control.
Sounds like a pretty important subcommittee, involved in very important business. In fact, the subcommittee has been holding hearings on climate change. Hearings which I can only believe Rep. Shimkus thinks are unnecessary, given his opening statement at one such hearing:Tags:church, separation, state Tweet This!! (Send Page to Twitter)
