Best of flotsam
I’ve decided to occasionally post a link to some of my favorite content posted back on PAgent’s Progress before ‘flotsam’ existed. Some of those clips simply deserve to be seen again (and again, and again).
In 2007 I posted a video of two marine biologists that dived below a thermocline into 50 degree water, while breathing a mixture of helium and oxygen. The resulting video is one of my favorites — I laugh every single time I watch it, and it never gets old.
So, if you haven’t seen it previously (or even if you have), please enjoy “Hypothermia-Induced Tourette’s Syndrome“.
As an added bonus, read through the comments to the post. A challenge from a trollish commenter led me to contact the principal diver personally, and his comments were both gracious and comprehensive.
